This has proven to be a good read since it goes some way towards providing a definition for expressivity when it comes to playing musical instruments. It also presents important aspects of expressivity that must be taken into account when designing digital musical instruments. The last sections of the report provide examples of how these notions of expressiveness where implemented in some existing digital musical instruments.
